The research on elastic metamaterials focuses on the use of 3D printer, to design and prepare metamaterials with singular mechanical parameters. In order to realize the manipulation of elastic wave, their mechanical response is tuned by changing the geometric parameters. Auxetic metamaterial is a kind of material with negative Poisson's ratio, which exhibits transverse contraction phenomenon under longitudinal compression. This can be realized by the design of specific structural unit. Auxetic metamaterial shows good indentation resistance and impact resistance. It has broad application in the field of energy absorption, sensing and isolation.
